Liebig Original and Playadito are made by the same manufacturer, but there is a reason why these yerbas are presented under different branding.

Liebig Original smells very floral, there are absolutely no harsh notes in the nose of this yerba mate.  The cut is a traditional Argentinian cut, having a good balance of leaf, stem and powder.

With a light to medium flavour profile, Liebig is a great yerba for those just starting out.  Using a slightly lower water temperature will bring out the sweet floral notes to start and as you top up it will gain body and more bitter hoppy taste.

This speial yerba was conceived at the time the Cooperative celebrated its 80th anniversary to honor the memory of its pioneers. To achieve this high quality yerba, the harvest is made in winter when the leaves are at their peak ripeness. It is then aged for 18 months and specially packed with a paper that keeps moisture and external aromas out. A must for those who prefer less bitter versions of yerba mate.

This yerba is produced in limited quantities. As a result of this, it's not easy to find, even in Argentina.
