Seeds - Chile Fresno

Fresnos are bright red 5cm long conical-shaped chiles that grow upright on very productive plants. Grows well in warm temperatures and get spicier the longer they are left on the plant to mature.

Immature green Fresno peppers are quite mild, similar to a jalapeno and can be used in many types of dishes. They add mild heat and flavor to sauces, dips, relishes, casseroles, soups, stews and savory dishes. Green Fresnos can also be pickled and eaten whole. They make an excellent garnish for Mexican and Southwestern American cuisine.

Mature red Fresno peppers provide more heat and are often added to salsas, relishes, ceviches, and marinades. They make good toppings for tacos, tostadas, burgers and nachos. They are large enough to stuff with cheeses, potatoes, seafood and meat.

A disease resistant plant which grows to 75cm with green fruit ripening through orange to a mature red. 

Chiles take about 70-90 days to produce ripe fruit.
