Dried hominy, or mote pelado is often used in recipes to be cooked and served in the same manner as dried beans.

"Mote" refers to corn cooked in its husk.  When the outer husk is removed from the grain, usually in the nixtamal process, the kernel is then is called 'pelado'.

Perfect for the classic soup Pozole but overnight pre-soaking is required.
