Very popular in Africa and Portugal where they use this type of chile to create the well known chicken piri piri.
Easy to use fresh but being so small, they dry well and are easily ground.
Heat is respectable, in the range of 100,000 – 225,000 Scoville units.
Plants grow up to 50cm high and make lovely ornamentals pot plants. Pods start green and ripen to red. A prolific plant which fruits over a 4-6 month season.
