Seeds - Chile Birdseye

The bird's eye chili plant is a perennial (or annual depending on climate) with small, tapering fruits, often two or three, at a node. The fruits are small and quite hot, measuring up to 250,000 Scoville units, which is at the lower half of the range for the habanero chile but still many times hotter than a jalapeño.

Characteristics of the bird's eye chili plant

    • Leaf size: 3–8 cm by 2–4 cm
    • Fruit colour at maturity: orange or red
    • Fruit shape: conical
    • Fruit length: 2–3 cm
