Shoulder Bag - Kachina Dolls

Hopi kachina dolls are figures carved, typically from cottonwood root to represent katsinas or katsinam, the spirits of deities, natural elements or animals, or the deceased ancestors of the Hopi.

Each year, these immortal deities come to the villages in June and July to dance and sing, to bring rain for the upcoming harvest, and to give gifts to the children.

With a sturdy zipper closure, this bag is perfect for toting around daily goods, but also ideal for a simple overnight trip.  No pockets, just a simple versatile bag.

Size 45cm x 31cm. Base 14cm wide.  Polyester with cotton straps.
